Finance Account codes

In order to purchase items through myPurchase, via the Departmental credit card, or claim expenses, it is necessary to include details of the account code. There are three types of accounts where expenditure can be charged. These are stored in a secure area and require your DCS login - if you are off campus you will need to connect through vpn.

• Core University accounts (Cost Centre) - i.e. 123456. View COM accounts
• Research accounts (WBS) - i.e. R/123456. View current accounts by Shortname or PI
• Project accounts (WBS) - i.e. X/123456. Contact com-resadmin@sheffield.ac.uk with any queries about these accounts.
