Firefox add-on to help compulsive shoppers

Supervised by K.Bogdanov

Abstract

Compulsive online shopping is becoming epidemic mainly because it is a private activity.

For compulsive buyers, accumulate debt that ruins their economy and relations is as easy as clicking the mouse, and there is no interest from retailers to stop their consumers from buying in excess.

The aim of this project is to explain the process of the development of a Firefox add-on to help shoppers to moderate their expenses and seek help from their relatives and friends on time.

The result of this project were the creation of a functional first version of this add-on and the documentation of the emulation of event-driven testing. This type of testing is not a documented practice by the Mozilla Developer Network yet.
