Supervised by R.Gaizauskas

Abstract

The development of mobile technology allows users to have a more advanced experience with their phones, such as the voice-driven interfaces allow users to interact with their devices, and the mobile devices with location-awareness allow users to know where they are. The combination of voice-driven interface and location awareness of mobile phones make possible to develop a speech-driven dialogue system to navigate users.

The main aim of the project is to explore the campus of University of Sheffield for pedestrian. It includes the information of buildings and a navigation system for pedestrians to get to their desire destination.

For achieving the aim, three people will do the project. The task I concerned is the dialogue system, it includes dialogue act tagging, named entity recognition, information type classifier, a dialogue manager, and a natural language generator.
