SOAP Testing for Web Services

Abstract

The University of Sheffield has been responsible for developing a functional testing method for cloud services, which is part of Broker@Cloud-EU FP7 (ICT-318392). This generates a platform-neutral test suite in XML, from a service specification that is also in XML. With the differences in diverse possible cloud service technologyies that need a variety of concrete testing software, three ready-made  groundings from XML to Java have been supported by Broker@Cloud, which drive SOAP and REST services through Java wrappers. The current project aims to provide an alternative to the Broker@Cloud JAX-WS grounding, testing a web service described in WSDL and using SOAP for communication
