Factors that Affect Image Deblurring Algorithms

Abstract

Image deblurring technique is important in digital and optical area. The result of deblurring is closely related to the accuracy of image details. How to improve the efficiency of deblurring is a worthy topic to study.

This project aims to find the factors affect deblurring algorithms as well as the way and reason of the impacts. The factors it is going to analyse include image format, image resolution, blurring filter scale, noise level, number of deblurring iterations and deblurring algorithms. The effect of these factors will be discussed individually and in groups.

The findings of the project are 1. whether the factors listed above are able to affect deblurring algorithms 2. the relationship between the factors and deblurring result 3. the reason one factor can or cannot influence deblurring algorithms 4. what can be done in the next stage of research.
