Honeybees waggle dance tracking and decoding

Supervised by J.Marshall

Abstract

This report will be based on a previous project at Bristol. The aim of this previous work is to use automatic tracking techniques in order to identify honeybees waggle dance as they occur in a hive. Hence, it would be able to help biologists to avoid labour intensive.

In addition, this project will extend this previous work on the base of a dissertation and source code in order to create a graphical user interface to interact with the source code so that non-computer-scientists could be able to use the system.

This project includes a Java native interface, which is completely built to interact with the previous system. Also, a graphical user interface is created and it will make the system become easier to use.
