Mobile application for prospective Department of Computer Science students

Abstract

The University of Sheffield is currently offering its students a mobile application, but this only covers existing students. Department of Computer Science prospective students do not have the means to get quick access to information, except by checking and searching through the university's website. This project attempts to create a mobile application aimed at prospective students which contains most of the information needed before applying or even after securing a spot. This paper sets out and defines the functionality by analysing the competition and then details the implementation of this application. The main achievement that this project succeeded in is posting the application on the Google Play store and receiving mostly positive feedback.
