Automatic Multi-document Summarisation of News
Supervised by M.Hepple
Abstract
Automatic summarisation is the art of summarising text using a computer program. Multi-document summarisation is a branch of summarisation that deals with multiple input documents, where the summary must span all of the documents given to the summariser. This project will look at some of the techniques and methods used in automatic multi-document summarisation and will involve building a system that implements some of these techniques. The performance of the system will be evaluated using a dataset that has been used in summarisation competitions.
