Supervised by P.McMinn

Abstract

Mobile phones are becoming more involved in our daily lives. The features and capabilities of mobile phones have been developed over the years. Mobile phones of today have many more functions and possibilities than they did in the past. With the advancement in technology, third parties can develop mobile apps. Companies are now using applications to help expand their businesses.

The aim of the project is to design, develop and evaluate an iOS mobile app for a company that specialises in ultrasonic technology. This company is known as Tribosonics Ltd. The mobile app is a user Interface and the graphical display tool for and ultrasonic data acquisition board, which was developed by Triboonics Ltd. The project will also involve providing commands that can change the output of the ultrasonic acquisition data board. A communication between the board and the app must be found.
