Easy to use, fully functional, free and open source OpenStreetMap editor for Android

Supervised by M.Gheorghe

Abstract

In our modern-day information-reliant society, maps have become more pervasive than ever. One map provider differs from the rest by offering a completely free and open source geospatial dataset. Being crowdsourced, OpenStreetMap depends heavily on contributions from volunteers, who in term, rely on mapping tools.

10 years after its inception, OpenStreetMap contributors resort mainly to the use of desktop-bound software. The current project aims to change this by providing a free and ergonomic mapping solution for the most popular mobile operating system at present.
