A Web Based Solution for a Charity To Improve Communications and Raise Funds Online

Abstract

For many non-profit organisations, the web has become the ideal means which can be used for many different activities. It provides non-profits with a great and highly cost-effective opportunity to build and improve relationships with clients, supporters, donors, and the community they serve.

The aim of this project is to create a web-based system for a mental health charity based in Sheffield. The system will help the charity to improve their communication system, raise funds online, and manage everyday tasks efficiently.

The suggested solution for this project is a content management system (CMS). Therefore, the final results will be a web content management system (WCMS) which will enable the staff members, those with a basic comuputer knowledge, to manage the web content effectively without the need of webmasters.
