Fit Issues in Women's Ready to Wear

Supervised by Y.Gotoh

Abstract

The clothing industry today uses sizing systems to determine the size and fit of ready to wear (RTW) garments. These systems are plagued with issues that eventually cause problems for the consumers when looking for the right fit. This project will discuss and critisize the current system and some of the solutions that have been proposed so far. Its main aim however is to provide a technical solution for women when looking for the right size and fit.
