Building a Tetris game in Minecraft

Supervised by D.Sudholt

Abstract

Minecraft and Tetris are two of the most popular and well known games to have been created while being completley different in both play style and genre. The project will involve implementing the game of Tetris in Minecraft in an unconventional way using game mechanics and entities within Minecraft to achive the goal of a playable Tetris game. Various approaches will be analyzed and discussed before the implementation stage as well as reasoning for certian design choices over others. It is a fun and excting project but this paper will also show the relevance of using Minecraft by demonstrating it's computational power and what it is possible to achieve using unconventional programming methods.
