Abstract

Finding a job while, or after, you obtain a degree can be a pretty daunting task for many students and graduates. It doesn't help that many of the well-known job sites do not provide sufficient means for identifying job posts for students and graduates. It does not help that many of the well-known job sites do not provide sufficient means for identifying job posts intended for students, graduates, Computer Scientists and Software Engineers. Furthermore, staff members in the Department of Computer Science often receive requests to forward adverts for placements and graduate jobs to students who may be looking for these positions. The process for forwarding on the adverts to interested students is not a standard or straightforward one.

This project aims to develop a web application for use by both students and staff members of the Computer Science Department. For students, it should be a hub where they can view, search for and save job postings relevant to them. For staff members, it should provide an easy method of uploading and posting new job adverts for students to view.
