Writing an Intentionally Vulnerable Web App for Teaching

Abstract

Practical security topics are rarely taught alongside web program- ming and if they are, they often lack the necessary detail and coverage to make a mark in students’ minds. This project has been created to make it easier to teach web security concepts by providing vulnerable web app in a white box environment for developers to hack away at, run included test suites and x the plethora of vulnerabilities that exist in the base system.
