Creating an Interface for Identifying Relevant Medical Literature

Supervised by M.Stevenson

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to improve the current ScHARRHUD database with a system that makes identifying relevant articles more efficient and effective. While the scope of the project is vast, two companion projects have been devised. This report explains the client-based side of the system, where the end user will interact with the system. However, it will also give details on how text mining will make systematic reviews efficient and effective; how the interface will link to the companion project. It is intended that after both projects are successfully completed that ScHARR will join them together, which will create the new system that will improve access to health utilities evidence for the end user.
