Abstract

The project demonstrates supervised machine learning approaches to stance detection on forum posts.

The approaches are: Support Vector Machines and Long Short-Term Memory.

Investigations into how the textual similarity of the topic of training data and the topic of testing data affects the accuracy of classifiers were made.
