Balloon and wind effects in a virtual world
Supervised by S.Maddock
Abstract
The modelling of real world physics and natural phenomena has been at the forefront of computer graphics development to produce visual effects in movies and computer games. In recent years, this has become even more spectacular, with many films now using motion capture and computer graphics to create a whole new environment. Most of these wonders are done in post-processing, and is not produced in real time.
The project aims to model an interactive game using a real world like environment, and recreating a balloons real world physics in real time with plausible realism. This project will integrate the Oculus Rift and Leap Motion to allow the user more control over the environment, intending to create a more immersive world which will demonstrate the physical properties of the world.
