Progress |
If things start to go wrong it is important to talk to
your project supervisor, the dissertation Project Officer or your personal tutor.
This will help us to help you more quickly and effectively. |
Extensions to deadlines |
Extensions may be granted if you are ill or unable to work
and obtain a valid medical note, or there are other
exceptional extenuating circumstances. You must inform your
supervisor as soon as possible that you have been ill or
unable to work due to other circumstances. The medical note
must be handed in to the Department Office (Reception) to be
placed in your Departmental file. See the Extenuating
Circumstances web page. |
Late start |
this only applies to undergraduates e.g. overseas student
on an exchange programm. If you are not allocated a project
until a week or two into semester 1 of the third year, you
must still meet the normal deadlines, although you will be
given a week or two's grace for the 'Dissertation project:
Description' report - you should agree this with your
supervisor. It should be possible to catch up over the
remaining six month period of the project. You should make
sure that your supervisor records the date that you start
your project as this detail may be useful when the project
is assessed. |
